FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN BETTERING THEIR HEALTH THROUGH CYCLING

I am committed to helping you be successful.

I am committed to supporting and riding by your side toward better health.

I am committed to positive and encouraging coaching.

I am committed to providing you teaching of the solid foundations for effective and safe cycling.

My name is LaVerne Lindsey and I believe that everyone who has the desire and willingness can achieve their hopes and dreams. Several years ago, many pounds heavier, my sister and I decided to embark on an exercise program. We hopped in the car and went to the local Wal-mart and bought two bicycles. Our plan was to ride as often as we could in order to lose the extra weight we were both carrying. On our first ride, I meet up with my sister and we took off on our ride. We rode 5 miles to Kawainas park. My sister was unable to ride anymore so we walked perfectly good bikes back to her place. my sister called it quits, but somewhere in this new experience I found a sense of joy and freedom that I had not felt in a long time

I continued to ride 5 miles each day (unfortunately, my sister didn't feel the same love for her bike.) It wasn't too long before I was riding 150 miles to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. It was at that moment that I truly realized that I had made a match with cycling.

Now, years later and thousands of cycle miles, I am pleased to share that I not only continued cycling, but I found inspiration to share cycling with hundreds of women. I started the unique "The Ladies" recreational, riding group over two years ago and am proud to share that we now have an active membership of 85 women. Many of these women were very new to cycling when they first came, and now are comfortable riding 30+ miles at their own pace. I was one of those women that was told "You can't ride until you lose some of that weight" when what I should have been told, was "Come on and let's ride" with little regard as to what size I may have been. I not only lost the weight, I have become an accomplished rider who has the skills to patiently teach others the art and science of cycling. My experience as a rider and coordinator of a recreational riding group has helped me develop the skills to coach and teach those who may not see themselves as the typical athlete. Everyone can ride and I am ready to support you while you learn and hone your skill as a rider.

Cycling is a forgiving sport that requires minimal equipment (a bike). I'm sure you can already tell that I love to cycle and I love to teach anyone who is willing to learn to cycle.

Success no doubt results in increased satisfaction in life. What more can we ask for than a better life? I encourage you to take a step today toward bettering your life through cycling. I believe that by riding at your own pace and learning the skills and safety rules of cycling, anyone can be successful. Be sure to check this site often for upcoming workshops and rides.
